Youngsoon is an Australian artist born and raised in Aichi, Japan. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in sculpture, at the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music (Aichi University of the Arts) in 2007 and moved to Australia the same year. She currently lives and works in South Australia.
Youngsoon has won a number of prizes including the Emma Hack Art Prize (2015) for her drawing, Omelette, works on paper Prize for her drawing, Enoki in The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize (2013) and was a finalist in The Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize (2014) and The 7th Prospect Portrait Prize (2011). She has participated in numerous group exhibitions including The ERA We Live In (2013-2014) and Reason for Being (2012) at Prospect Gallery South Australia.
